My Thoughts on "Broken Guard"

Book- Broken Guard

Author- Renn Wells

This is my first book as an ARC reader, so I hope I do this book the justice it deserves and share my insights with the readers.

This is a story of two broken people who come are brought together by pure coincidence. A girl who has a been through something that could break anyone and a bodyguard hired to not only protect her from someone but also from herself. Now the bodyguard is slowly but surely getting to know the girl and understanding her needs and not only helping her but also healing a part of himself, the part of his past which haunts him till this day, and he can not get rid of. This is a story of healing, protection and love which warms your heart as you read further into the book.

The story is fast paced and easy to follow, the characters have life outside of this which not only gives them depth. This depth helps us readers to connect with the characters, feel the emotions they are feeling and also feel empathy for them. The book starts with an incident which changes our female lead Evelyn's life to a considerable degree and to help her cope with this her uncle hires a bodyguard Marcus who has his own demons to deal with. Aside from these main characters we also have around 5-6 characters who are essential for the story and help the book progress. This book has taught me how hard it is to overcome something so unexpected that it just hits you like a truck but also the importance of healing and the need of a support system.

I hope that I did not give away any spoilers for the book. And it also seems like the author is planning on releasing a follow up book, which is exciting. Can not wait for the next book to be released.

Thank you so much for reading. And Thank you so much for Renn Wells for letting me be a ARC Reader, this was a wonderful experience and I am so excited for this and the next book you will release. All the best.
